Connecticut has a number of financial responsibility requirements that need to be met if you want to drive your motorcycle. Without these various types of insurance coverage, you will not be legally allowed to do so. First of all, bodily injury is absolutely necessary when it comes to coverage. On a per-person basis, the amount required is $20,000 of coverage. As a total per accident, however, it jumps to $40,000. Property damage is also required by CT, in the amount of $10,000. Also required by the state is uninsured motorist coverage. For bodily injury, the required amount is $20,000 per person and $40,000 per accident.
