Connecticut Cell Phone Laws

The cellphone laws that have been put in place in the last few years have certainly made their mark, as they spread from state to state. Some of these locations are harsher than others when it comes to enforcement. Some are more intense in terms of what is illegal. Connecticut, for example, does not allow any texting while driving, regardless of your age. But they do have a few other laws as well. Drivers under 18 years of age, for instance, are not allowed to use cellphones in any capacity while on the road. And any driver over 18 can only legally use a phone during a drive if it has hands-free equipment. But cellphone use is allowed in emergency situations, such as when someone is trying to contact an ambulance.
